About

My name is Nick Filipchuk, I am a Registered Massage Therapist and the proud owner of Brentwood Bay Massage Therapy.
I completed my education at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria and have been registered in good standing with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of B.C. (CCHPBC) since 2017.

I strive to provide evidence-informed massage treatments grounded in current best practices and my approach to care emphasizes ongoing assessment of tissues, clear communication, and collaboration throughout treatment. My clinical interests include supporting injury recovery, managing persistent muscle pain & tension, and addressing stress-related physical discomfort.

Massage techniques I may use during treatments include general Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. Therapeutic exercises are likely to be incorporated as part of care to support positive outcomes.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my spouse, Mallory and two stepchildren. As a family, we like to spend a lot of our time enjoying the natural beauty of Brentwood Bay—whether exploring the neighbourhoods by bike or having memorable encounters with seals and otters while paddleboarding in the bay.

I look forward to working with you.

Policies

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time of service. Major credit cards, debit card, or bank e-transfer are accepted. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Cancellation Policy

Brentwood Bay Massage Therapy is committed to providing high-quality care while keeping a schedule that allows service to all clients effectively. To help support this, it is kindly requested at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or changes be given.

Cancellation/appointment change fees when less than 24 hours’ notice is received:

  • First occurrence: 50% of the scheduled treatment fee.

  • Subsequent occurrences: 100% of the scheduled treatment fee.

Please note: Cancellation fees are only payable out of pocket as they cannot be billed to extended medical benefits plans.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you, and late cancellations or missed appointments leave a vacancy that could have been filled by another patient in need of care. It is understood that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can arise. In such cases, you are encouraged to contact nick@brentwoodmassagetherapy.ca as soon as possible to discuss the situation.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Late Arrival Policy

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to ensure the next client is not delayed. Full session fees apply for late arrivals.

Insurance / Direct Billing Policy

Brentwood Bay Massage Therapy accepts most extended health insurance plans. However, direct billing is offered as a courtesy to help simplify the reimbursement process for clients — but it is not a requirement. All session fees are the responsibility of the client at the time of service should there be any discrepancy of insurance coverage or claim status. Coverage varies by plan. It is the client’s responsibility to confirm eligibility, coverage limits, and any required co-payments with their insurance provider.

Providing your insurance information prior to your appointment helps to ensure direct billing can be processed efficiently and reduces delays at the end of your visit.
